Have you been watching the BBC’s new psychological thriller, The Rapture? (that’s if you have a BBC license at all).

“Set in Wales against the backdrop of a blistering heatwave, The Rapture follows forensic psychologist Gabs Fox as she meets 17-year-old Bethany Krall in a high-security psychiatric hospital. Convicted of murdering her mother, Bethany insists she’s innocent...and claims she can predict the future”, reads an explainer by Climate Spring, an organisation that acted as “story consultants for Mammoth Screen [the production company behind The Rapture] and screenwriter Bryony Kimmings on this production.” (More on Climate Spring in a bit).

The series is packed with references to climate change - in one scene it’s 42 degrees; the characters often look sweaty and complain about the lack of air conditioning; Bethany Krall can predict apocalyptic weather events; and there are climate activists, whereas the baddies (I think; I haven’t finished the series yet) are from an organisation called “Choose Hope” (complete with the same branding as Choose Love), a cult that’s busy telling young people not to worry about the planet being doomed.

In my last piece, I said I would next write about Faiza Shaheen, who appears in the Channel 4 documentary, How to Get Filthy Rich with Gary Stevenson.

Introducing Shaheen, Stevenson says “Dr Faiza Shaheen is the Executive Director of Tax Justice UK, an economist and an advocate for reform of the tax system.” All true, by the way. They warmly embrace and are shown appearing at an event together.

Shaheen, like the NHS doctor in Stevenson’s documentary, is another alumni of The New Economy Organisers Network, a media school that has received funding from the likes of the Open Society Foundations and the European Climate Foundation.

NEON has been keen to show off Shaheen from its “Spokeperson Network”…

.. and she has thanked it for “Some of the best training I’ve ever had, allowing me to hone the craft of media interviews and giving me much more confidence.”

Like I said in my last piece, NEON not only trains activists but has a whole range of messaging guides online, including one on a wealth tax.

I cannot say which activists have read it, but Stevenson and Shaheen have both proposed a two percent tax on wealth over £10 million, a suggestion that’s in the guide.

Stevenson repeats it in his documentary, and Shaheen in an article for The Guardian (more in my piece below):

The proposal initially came from joint research (published in 2023) between Patriotic Millionaires UK and Tax Justice UK, the former of which Stevenson is a founding member of and the latter Shaheen became Executive Director of in 2025.

The research is linked to in NEON’s wealth tax guide, which was co-authored with Paul Hebden, who is now a Communications Adviser at the IPPR.

Previously he was Deputy Director of Communications for Tax Justice UK, which is generally a very big beast in the wealth tax push.

During the documentary, Stevenson says “my proposal is a 2% tax on wealth of above £10 million”.

Is it his proposal, though?

Or the cumulation of lots of activist groups behind the scenes?

To be clear, they’re not doing anything illegal - maybe the Right could even learn from it - but it’s certainly taking a lot of effort to convince people a wealth tax is a good idea!

At around 35 mins in the Channel 4 documentary, How to Get Filthy Rich with Gary Stevenson, Stevenson and his activist group Patriotic Millionaires UK join a protest “alongside workers at the sharp end of cuts to our public services.”

One of these workers is Andrew Meyerson, “a doctor working for the NHS”, whom Stevenson asks “can you see poverty growing in this country?” Meyerson goes on to list “all the public services that have been taken from us over the last decade”, prompting Stevenson to shed a tear.

Post-interview, a shaken Stevenson says “obviously you see a doctor working in the NHS coming out, shivering in the cold, no jacket, listing off all the services that have been cut. It’s emotion, isn’t it? What can you say? Emotion.”

But who is this doctor? Well, Meyerson is actually something of a mega activist who is currently the CEO of campaign group “EveryDoctor”. On its website, his bio mentions he has been “has been a prominent campaigner within the SOSNHS coalition alongside Keep Our NHS Public, Just Treatment, NHS Workers Say No, and We Own It”, the latter being an organisation that fights for most/ all UK services to be put into public ownership.

Not only that but Meyerson was trained at the New Economy Organisers Network (NEON), a media school for left-wing activists. Notable alumni include left-wing activist Grace Blakeley, open-border-lover Zoe Gardner, Labour MPs Miatta Fahnbulleh and Dr Jeevun Sandher MP, and Corbynista Faiza Shaheen, who stood as an Independent candidate for Chingford and Woodford Green in 2024’s General Election (and who appears at the end of Stevenson’s documentary).

NEON offers everything from hostile panel training to messaging guides, including one published on 17 June 2024 on “How to talk about Taxing wealth”. One of its proposals is in Stevenson’s documentary (more on this and Shaheen in my next piece).

Meyerson was trained by NEON in 2022, through its “Spokesperson Network” programme (essentially getting activists geared up for media):

NEON is funded by the European Climate Foundation, Urban Movement Innovation, William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, Polden Puckham, Partners for a New Economy, Oak Foundation, Friends Provident, JRF, Unbound Philanthropy, Paul Hamlyn, among many others.

It also received $1,822,049 from George Soros’s Open Society Foundations between 2016-22:

Today I will explain how climate storytelling is being embedded into TV and theatre thanks to the work of a well-funded “global organisation” called Climate Spring, whose partners include ITV, Channel 4 and The Cannes Film Festival.

This is in addition to the Government’s own efforts to embed messaging on the climate (and otherwise) into soap operas and entertainment shows, as exposed last year by Lewis Brackpool. We are being targeted from every angle!

Climate Spring - whose funders are mostly private (more on them later) but also receives funding from the Wellcome Trust, which received £105,998,100 from taxpayers between 2020-24 - says it “champions the power of storytelling to transform our cultural response to the climate crisis” and works “with the screen industries to tell compelling stories that resonate, inspire and reach global audiences.”

Extraordinarily, there has been no coverage of the fact Mia Amor Mottley, the Prime Minister of Barbados, visited Keir Starmer last week.

This followed her appearance at a climate change event at St James’s Palace Throne Room last Wednesday, which looked positively ghastly.

King Charles attended and was treated to displays by the Clean Air Task Force, Clean Air Fund and the Wellcome Trust (which received £105,998,100 from taxpayers between 2020-24)…

… as well as a speech by Ed Miliband (to be fair, King Charles probably enjoyed it).

Ahead of the King’s appearance, Mottley and António Guterres, the Secretary-General of the UN, delivered speeches. You can see them pictured together below.

In his speech today, Andy Burnham outlined plans to go even further with devolution.

The news was welcomed by Tracy Brabin, the Mayor of West Yorkshire, who posted on X that Andy had “led the way in the devolution revolution” and that “devolution is already delivering for people in West Yorkshire”.

Next to the post, Brabin shared a photograph of herself with fellow regional mayors, including Steve Rotheram, the Mayor of Liverpool City Region, and Kim McGuinness, the Mayor of the North East England:

Funnily enough, Brabin, McGuinness, Rotheram and Burnham have all attended the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative run by US billionaire Mike Bloomberg (via his eponymous Bloomberg Philanthropies).

“Is Miatta Fahnbulleh the brains behind Burnham?” reads a New Statesman published last week. It was about the Labour (Co-Op) MP for Peckham, who was up until May the Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Housing, Communities and Local Government.

Fahnbulleh is hardly a household name, but has received increasing attention since she became the first minister to resign over Keir Starmer’s premiership. The BBC has called her one of the “key figures in Andy Burnham’s inner circle”, said to be working on policy ideas for his potential government.

All this might give you the idea of an economic mastermind at work (The New Statesman has even coined the term “Fahnbullehism”).

Did you know it’s Refugee Week? “The world’s largest arts and culture festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary.”

The event runs from 15-21 June, coordinated by Counterpoints Arts - which (FOR ONCE) hasn’t had much taxpayer funding (£4,480 in government grants for 2025). However, the organisation is funded by the usual suspects when it comes to promoting open borders eg. The Paul Hamlyn Foundation, Unbound Philanthropy as well as Arts Council England (which receives public funding).

This week Hackney Council introduced its new Cabinet since the Green Party took over from Labour.

It was keen to point out that the Cabinet member for Finance, Resident Services and Digital, Florence Schechter, founded “the ground-breaking Vagina Museum”.

The Vagina Museum is the world’s first bricks and mortar museum dedicated to vaginas, vulvas and the gynaecological anatomy”.

Officially registered as a charity, the trans-inclusive museum has received £140,140 in government grants since 2020.

Schechter, who uses the pronouns “she/ they”, is the author of V: An Empowering Celebration of the Vulva and Vagina.

In 2024 she appeared at Green Man Festival to give a talk titled “Who’s Afraid of The Vagina?”

Ahead of the event she posted “By the end of this talk, you'll be equipped to smash stigmas, label your labia, and advocate for your vulva's rights. Unleash your Big V Energy and let's break down the barriers of taboo, speak openly about our health and pleasure, and understand our bodies like never before.”

In 2024 Schechter stood down as director of The Vagina Museum and said “I don’t know what’s next for me yet… I want to take some time to figure out what my next chapter is. I’m open to whatever opportunities the universe has to bring me.”

Luckily Hackney will be spoiled with everything she has learnt about vaginas.

It sounds bizarre, but if I want to know what Britain’s socialist bloc is up to next, I turn to Carol Vorderman’s Instagram feed.

Vorderman, who recently celebrated Green Party candidate Hannah Spencer’s victory in Gorton and Denton, is clearly a propagandist of some sort for the Ultra Left, and for months she has been promoting Andy Burnham.

This week Miatta Fahnbulleh became the first minister to resign from Sir Keir Starmer’s government, telling the BBC that her constituents made it "really clear they had lost faith and confidence in the prime minister".

What a compelling interview! You might think (or not).

Today, Dart took a break from standing in a park to rant about Reform (his day job) to vote in the local elections.

Posting on X he wrote:

“I, a Liberal Democrat, just voted tactically for Labour to stop the worst, most dangerous party of my lifetime, winning in my area.

“Vote tactically today! Keep Reform UK out.”

It’s no surprise that Dart has embraced tactical voting. He was recently tagged as a “collaborator” in the social media output of The Movement Forward/ Forward Democracy, Carol Vorderman’s tactical voting coalition…

… the one that wants to “Stop Reform” (even having a web page with the domain StopReform.vote).

Great minds think alike, ey!

Unless all these groups are actually coordinating together - to create the impression that there’s widespread animosity against Reform (rather than a small number of them at it).

Interestingly, this afternoon The Movement Forward sent another email update about tactical voting, where it recommended others “Follow people on social media who are fighting Reform”, including:

As most of us know, the UK’s unemployment rates aren’t looking too peachy.

As The Guardian put it last week, “Britain has the third-highest rate of young people not in work or education among Europe’s richest countries”.

Ironically, its headline was based on a report by The Resolution Foundation, a charity that is itself currently hiring.

This brings me onto the point of this article. While the private sector goes bust, charities are recruiting like nobody’s business! Mostly thanks to the fact they are propped up by wealthy funders (many international) and/ or taxpayers’ money.

In recent weeks there have been yet more terrible stories about small boat criminals in the news. In one case, three asylum seekers (two from Egypt and one from Iran) were found guilty of gang raping a vulnerable young woman on Brighton beach. It seems almost every week we are subjected to a similar story, mostly involving girls and women being seriously hurt.

How do these crimes keep happening? Lots of different reasons, of course, including Prevent not being fit for purpose…

But today I am going to return to what I call the open border complex, and focus on some of its greatest enablers (mostly charities).

In other words, which entities, in my view, have been the worst offenders at creating open borders? Without further ado:

Successive governments

I can’t really start off this piece without pointing a finger at the Government, and not just this current one. The Conservatives haemorrhaged taxpayers’ money on many organisations facilitating open borders, such as: Asylum Aid (£837,000, 2020-24), Asylum Welcome (£2,881,770, 2021-25), the British Refugee Council (£41,588,000, 2021-25), Migrant Help (£153,592,000, 2020-24), Migrant Training Company (£2,119,910, 2020-24) and Refugee Action (£16,765,000, 2021-25). Yesterday the activist group “People Against Genocide” broke into an Israeli drone factory in Leicester.

Footage of the break-in was posted on the Instagram feed of something called The Aftershock, which describes itself as “a publisher and media distributor of global actions for Palestine.” It wrote:

“BREAKING: 'People Against Genocide' have abseiled through the roof of Elbit's Israeli drone factory in Leicester.

“Once they descended, they began to break through the clean room used to assemble necessary components for Israeli military drones.

“Contaminating a clean room can put it out of use for several months.

Today it was announced that David Lammy will be speaking at the “Global Progressive Mobilisation” conference in Barcelona, taking place on April 17-18th.

He’ll be joined by Mia Amor Mottley, the Prime Minister of Barbados, who thinks that the UK owes $24tn in reparations to 14 countries affected by transatlantic slavery - and that Barbados is owed $4.9tn (£3.9tn) in total by slave-owning nations.
