Yet somehow the term is also a synonym for "under-represented"
Having recently researched Cambridge University for another article (on international students), I’m starting to think it’s gone a bit nuts.

Not only that but Cambridge is now adopting the term “global majority”, which I found in a job advert it posted for an Assistant Professor in Early Music (before 1700) (Fixed Term):
