Back in the 1980s I got involved with Green issues in the SDP, LibDems. Even then, it was obvious that the Ecology party/Green party were 'watermelons': green on the outside, but red all through.
If 'sensible' green ideas, such as home insulation, had been the main issues the Green party talked about, we may have warm homes by now. As it was (and still is) their Socialism is paramount.
