Mia Amor Mottley thinks the UK owes $24tn in reparations
Today it was announced that David Lammy will be speaking at the “Global Progressive Mobilisation” conference in Barcelona, taking place on April 17-18th.
He’ll be joined by Mia Amor Mottley, the Prime Minister of Barbados, who thinks that the UK owes $24tn in reparations to 14 countries affected by transatlantic slavery - and that Barbados is owed $4.9tn (£3.9tn) in total by slave-owning nations.
