Apologies for the newsletter being a bit late today. I am trying to send them off at 4pm most days, but I have been beavering away on my charity lists.
The latest total is £2.6 BILLION. Gulp. Especially when you see how stupid some of these charities are - which is why I’ve noted them down in the first place.
Paid subscribers can access the full list, which tells you which charities are the Top 10 biggest recipients of taxpayer funding.
To add, this is a sample I’ve chosen - mostly based on what charities I’ve found out about first (or known about already) during the course of my research. There are 170,000 charities on the Commission for England and Wales alone, so the final taxpayer figure is likely to be even greater.

Below accounts for 27 (and counting) taxpayer-funded asylum and migration charities. For context, there are over 170,000 charities on The Charity Commission for England and Wales (at the time of writing). Some have ambiguous names like “Praxis Community Projects”, but I know from my research that they are asylum and migration charities.
