Dear Readers,
I just wanted to say that I am off to Thailand for a couple of weeks - so I will be less available (until April 1). However, I have scheduled some content while I am away - to make sure you’ll be entertained (or horrified, such is the nature of Woke Waste!) in the interim.
I also wanted to quickly update everyone on my progress launching “DOGE UK”; in other words, a British version of Elon Musk’s “Department of Government Efficiency”, which we so sorely need.
Part of the reason I’m heading off for a break is that it’s been full blast at DOGE UK, and if I’m entirely honest, I feel a bit exhausted! And in need of my own “Great Reset” before properly launching.
With all the momentum from the States, I’ve known how quickly I need to get off the ground, and thus been pedalling as fast as possible (metaphorically) behind the scenes.
Luckily I have gained excellent advice and help along the way.
Thanks to my accountant, I have officially registered Doge Project Ltd.
With help of a marketing consultant, there is now a DOGE UK website (which I will officially launch when back).
And I have recently talked to an HR expert about how to expand and upscale the project. At the moment I am spreading myself a bit thin, like a mad hamster-ball woman, so it was good to have a chat through that.
Moreover, I have had help from some amazing volunteers - who have supported me with everything from research to answering emails.
One major wing of my volunteers is The DOGE Map Team, which I have been meaning to properly introduce for some time.
The DMT have been an enormous help and grown in size over time.
They are essentially a group of internet sleuths who are helping me to map left-wing funding networks. In other words, to help visualise a lot of the writing I am doing on here.
I tend to recruit them online, having spotted a special power in each!, and the team have different skills that all complement each other, as well as being very nice. Everyone brings something unique to the group, from building infrastructure, to entering lots of data (which can be boring but is absolutely vital), to forensic accounting skills. I can’t thank them all enough.
To add, I am holding off releasing the maps as they need to be verified/ finished before publication - not least because there’s a libel risk if the figures and associations (some from very rich people) aren’t double/triple-checked. But I’ve been amazed by what the team has built so far.
Anyway I just thought I’d give a little update. I wanted to reassure people that things are happening, and moreover this mission is very important to me.
Thank you, as always, for your readership and paid support!
PS. I say I will be out of office, but knowing me I will probably pop back on - even if it’s to post a little picture from Krabi 🇹🇭🌞
I am glad that you are moving forward with this venture even if I find that the information in your missives can be somewhat depressing to read.
Have a good break Charlotte.
Enjoy your break, you’ve earned it…
