Had comedian James Acaster won the Celebrity Traitors, he would have donated his winnings to Friends of the Earth Charitable Trust. The charity describes itself as “the UK's biggest grassroots network dedicated to protecting people and planet”, but it is a blatantly far-left, “watermelon” outfit using the green agenda to push for “red” causes. Instagram posts show it…
demonising billionaires and promoting open borders…
… (while using terms like “corporate baddies” and “corporate villains”)…
… pushing gender ideology…
… campaigning for “environmental justice in Palestine”…
… and mobilising “against the far right.”
Friends of the Earth may as well be an offshoot of the Socialist Workers Party, and both were actually on the “Together” march against the Far Right earlier this year, along with lots of other Far Left organisations, to “unite against the far right”:
James Acaster was part of this odious alliance (as well as socialist regulars Sir Lenny Henry, Paloma Faith, Mark Rylance, Charlotte Church, Brian Eno, Steve Coogan, Juliet Samuels, Maxine Peake and Billy Bragg):
Other charities involved in the Together alliance include Choose Love, which Celebrity Traitor winner Sebastian Croft donated his £41,500 in winnings to.
Like Choose Love, whose total gross income for 2025 was £12.59m, Friends of the Earth Charitable Trust is very well funded. Its total gross income for the same year was £15.33m. Thankfully this does not come from taxpayers.
Still, Brits may be concerned to know that Friends of the Earth’s historic funders include National Lottery Community Fund, which has awarded it £5,496,539 across two grants, and the Postcode Earth Trust (whose funding comes from the Postcode Lottery) which awarded it £12,100,000 across 4 grants. Dear oh dear!
We are already supposed to feel sorry for James Acaster for ruining the Celebrity Traitors in the midst of “wellbeing concerns”.
Well I hope he’s okay. Genuinely.
But he might have faced even more backlash had he given his prize money away to the terrible socialist front that is “Friends of the Earth”.

Is it me? I actually feel like I am living through the film The invasion of the body snatchers. It's like every day more and more people are being assimilated and I find myself wondering who the hell I can trust. Scary times... Choose love, arrrggh, they've got me!
