The Labour MP who blocked me on X - but thinks she should be Deputy Leader
It seems Bell Ribeiro-Addy doesn't like journalists writing about her!
“If we do not listen, we will not learn. And if we do not learn, we cannot win back trust”, writes Labour MP Bell Ribeiro-Addy her recent Guardian piece on why she should be the party’s deputy leader.
It’s a bit ironic because a few months ago Ribeiro-Addy blocked me on X:
So much for “listening” and “learning”!
I believe Ribeiro-Addy didn’t like me drawing attention to two things.
First, her being Chair of the APPG for Afrikan Reparations (which is generously sponsored by Rockefeller Philanthropy and Quakers). More below:
Second, the fact she is working in coalition with Jeremy Corbyn, John McDonnell, Zarah Sultana, Nadia Whittome, Clive Lewis and other Corbynista MPs, as well as The Green Party.
“We Deserve Better” (the name you’ll see above) is a donor on Jeremy Corbyn and Carla Denyer’s registered interests. But the group these MPs generally attach to is “Green New Deal Rising”, a Far Left activist group whose address Pelican House in Bethnal Green.
Also at Pelican House is the “People’s Momentum”…
… which is keen that Ribeiro-Addy should be Labour’s Deputy Leader:
As I’ve written before, we are quietly seeing the relaunch of Momentum 2.0…
…unfortunately, most newspapers are light years away from realising this.
When yours truly has pointed out this reality, I have gained a mixture of responses (on social media, at least).
Sometimes I am mocked by Corbynista types for trying to understand how they organise (“duh, Charlotte, don’t you know about cooperatives!”).
But if the system is so transparent, why does Ribeiro-Addy block me for spelling it out?
The Green Party (which, to reiterate, works with Ribeiro-Addy and Corbyn’s Crew) has also blocked me:
There’s an argument that Elon Musk should prevent public servants/ organisations from being able to do this.
But I wouldn’t want Musk to change this setting. Very useful to know who’s a plotting authoritarian!
