‘Get woke, go broke’. I expect we’ll be seeing another example of this shortly…

The cultural space for conservatism has been shrinking for several decades as the left took over schools and universities whose graduates now work in media, museums and other institutions. The Telegraph was the last, somewhat variable, bastion and its has now gone too it seems.

Substacks are not the public sphere which will now be dominated by centrist and left outlets almost exclusively. GB News survives (if you stomach its formats and style) but Ofcom are coming for it.

Dark days ahead.

Ahead? They've been here for a decade already.

OK. Even darker days ahead

This is so depressing. Did nobody think to check this when accepting their bid for the paper? It’s bad enough that Allison and Liam have/are leaving but to have to read this level of B/S is too much. I thought that the war was being won. I doubt that I will be renewing my subscription come January.

Das Axel Springer has a lot of form.

The 'peer review' process is almost useless.

The stream of scientific papers that have been withdrawn, or remain published with known problems, is significant.

Alex Springer has gone from a publisher of some integrity to none at all, complete with 'settled science' and never, ever forgetting, 'Theee Science'. Very WEF.

Is there a daily newspaper that is worth reading now?

No. Strangely enough, or perhaps not so, I just cancelled my Telegraph subscription this morning.
