What is 38 Degrees? The ghastly organisation Andy Burnham's new Director of Political Strategy is current CEO of
We need to have our eyes open to this lot

Yesterday it was announced that Matthew McGregor had been appointed as Director of Political Strategy for Andy Burnham in no 10.
McGregor was once Director of Campaigns and Communications for Hope Not Hate, which many people understandably focused on.
But his current organisation, 38 Degrees, is just as odious.
On the surface of it, 38 Degrees looks like a people-powered petition site, which it is to some degree. It’s just that these people are the Hard Left.
Nowhere is this more obvious than 38 Degrees’ Instagram feed, which is full of posts about how terrible Reform/ billionaires are; why we need to put water into public ownership (as a pretext to nationalising everything); and how evil big oil is. In other words, a bog standard Hard Left agenda.
That you can see Gary Stevenson multiple times is not random.
38 Degrees is pushing a wealth tax too:
The Left organise in a completely different way to the Right. In true, Fabian style, they divide and conquer, which includes splitting into lots of different organisations and groups to lobby for exactly the same policies.
Creating an artificial chorus of support helps to manufacture consent for socialism, giving the impression that lots of people are calling for it. As I’ve said before, Stevenson is part of a big movement:
We don’t really need to guess what Matthew McGregor will introduce as Burnham’s new Director of Political Strategy, as it’s spelt out so well on 38 Degrees’ website and social media feeds.
It has released a video on what his first six priorities should be…
… as well as projecting a message to Andy Burnham on the Houses of Parliament (this is actually quite a common hard left technique; Led by Donkeys and others have done it before).
The other two very interesting things to know about 38 Degrees is that it has partnered with Hugh Grant and Hacked Off for press reform:
Hugh Grant teams up with climate activists
Something I cover much less than Woke Waste, open-border charities and Quakers - but am very interested in - is the Leveson lobby.
Grant helped campaign for Burnham and we really need to keep an eye on what the new Number 10 regime means for press reforms/ Leveson 2…
… especially as Burnham appeared at the ghastly Byline Festival…
… and Byline is a big lobby group for Leveson 2:
The second thing to note is that 38 Degrees hates Palantir. As does The Good Law Project, which is funded by 38 Degrees:
Again, there are no coincidences.
The Left are incestuous and often have interlinked funding networks. They lobby in a mass.
There is so much more to say about this topic… but I’ll leave it there for now because the webs are so long and convoluted!

It sounds bizarre, but if I want to know what Britain’s socialist bloc is up to next, I turn to Carol Vorderman’s Instagram feed.
