This week Parliament was graced with a special visitor; Lenny Henry, who thinks that the UK owes £18 trillion in slavery reparations:
Henry was hosted by the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Afrikan Reparations…
… a group that receives funding from Rockefeller Philanthropy and Friends House…
… the latter of which is the central offices of Quakers in Britain, which recently hosted the APPG’s UK Reparations Conference 2025:
There the APPG’s Chair and Registered Contact Bell Ribeiro-Addy discussed the need for reparations:
She explained that “Loads of people like to point to money solely which I think is a wrong way of looking at it. No one’s saying that financial reparations would never be paid but we actually have to look at total repair.”
Let’s hope £18 trillion is a good place to start:
