Tracy Brabin, Mayor of West Yorkshire, heads off to Brazil with Sadiq Khan
It's a tough job fighting climate change!
I don’t know about you, but I had no idea that Rio de Janeiro was in West Yorkshire!
I mean, you have to wonder why Tracy Brabin, the Mayor of West Yorkshire, is out in Brazil…
Turns out she has been invited to the C40 World Mayors Summit, sponsored by Bloomberg Philanthropies.
Sadiq Khan, the Co-Chair of C40 Cities, is heading up the conference (it’s not like he has anything else to worry about).
Here he is with the other Co-Chair, Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr OBE, the Mayor of Freetown, Sierra Leone:
According to C40 Cities, over 300 mayors will come together for the Summit, and "share how they are rapidly cutting emissions whilst delivering good green jobs, affordable housing, cleaner air, and safer places to live.”
Clearly “rapidly cutting emissions” begins with a flight to Rio de Janeiro! (which is 5,760 miles away from London).
Hopefully these beautiful words from Brabin will inspire everyone there…

Brabin is a disgrace, "Mayors are the tugboats of change.... blah blah blah ... where no one is left behind", yeah right, no one is left behind, unless they're a schoolteacher in Batley who she failed to stand up for against the braying mob of Islamists, to whom she bent over backwards to apologise for the "offense" caused by said teacher who's in hiding since, fearing for his and his family's life.
It's hardly a surprise that she's popped up on your radar Charlotte, she's just another grifter, supposed to represent people but just does it for herself.
The very definition of a circle-jerk surely?
