I don’t think it’s particularly controversial to point out that Sadiq Khan isn’t a very good Mayor of London.
I used to think it was to do with incompetence (as well as being a psychopath - which he still is).
But I have a new theory, which is that London is Khan’s second job and his attention is very much elsewhere; globally directed, in fact.
Khan is co-Chair of C40 Cities - his “baby”, politically speaking - not that you can tell from his X bios:
While he lets everyone know he’s a husband and father (“aw, how lovely”), he omits that small thing of being co-Chair of a “global network of mayors”.
The media never lets us know about C40 Cities either - even though it’s kind of important! Khan, after all, has “committed to a Green New Deal for London”. What the hell is that?
In even writing about this stuff I risk damaging my career. Just saying the words “global agenda” - even when C40 Cities has a “Global Green New Deal” aka a global agenda - is enough to get relegated to the Crank Bench.
And I am under no doubt that if I raised this stuff among my peer group I would be talked about afterwards. “Charlotte’s gone a bit weird - did you hear when she was ranting about Khan’s global agenda?” Imagined reply: “Yeah, lockdown did that to a lot of people.”
Isn’t that the point? Societies are indoctrinated into a belief system; in this case, the climate emergency - which leaves young people behaving like Red Guards, albeit, non-violent (for now). If you break with the consensus and start saying “this is a bit funny, no?”, you become the strange one.
Back to this Green New Deal…
Until recently I never even realised the “Green New Deal” was a thing - it’s like my brain was also taught not to notice. You see the words but you don’t really take them in.
I even wrote about C40’s Global Green New Deal in June but I was a bit miffed more than anything (by the way, the piece will give you a good explanation of how it began).
Only a week ago I started to realise the significance of these words. For instance:
We have a cross-party coalition of “Green New Deal Rising Champions” in Parliament.
There was a Green New Deal Parliamentary Group (now expired)
Khan’s Deputy Mayor for the Environment promoted the Green New Deal when he was Hackney’s Cabinet Member for the Environment:
At the time Mete Coban (above) was CEO of My Life My Say, a youth charity that tried to encourage whippersnappers to vote. It’s obsessed with “Democracy Cafes” - which Starbucks was only too happy to facilitate:
This is more interesting when you consider that corporate-sponsored C40 is after more youth engagement (and youth engagement generally is seen as instrumental to promoting the eco agenda):
Back to Khan…
In recent weeks, the Mayor of London has been in the US, speaking at the Clinton Global Initiative. It’s another openly weird thing that doesn’t interest anyone in the media. The Clintons are “the good type of rich”, you see.
He also attended the Summit of the Future with the UN and others in his capacity as C40 Co-Chair. Who the hell are “Climate Group” and Climate Pledge” by the way?
And isn’t it interesting that Khan’s Mayoral Director of Political and Public Affairs, Felicity Appleby (paid £147,770-per-year) - who most people have never heard of - was “previously Global Head of Outreach at the United Nations in New York”. She has taken numerous flights to New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles while working for Khan (more below).
Plus, Justine Simons, OBE: London's Deputy Mayor for Culture, doubles up as the Founder of the World Cities Culture Forum - often travelling the world.
Anyway…
Coincidentally, around the same time of Khan’s eco mission, the new CEO of My Life My Say was also meeting the UN. He described it as “A real *pinch me* moment”:
But not if you connect the dots. He and Coban - “get down with the kids”/ Tik-Tok fluent types - are merely a channel to the target market. That is, Gen Z and other youngsters who rich people want to “mobilise” to vote, expecting them to vote Left. Thus, with enough votes they can get “their guys” - the left-wing candidates through - to push through this Green New Deal. That Khan is on a third term isn’t actually a big surprise, when you put it in this context, as he still has to finish the job. He’s completely open about it! I just hope it doesn’t mean he’s still Mayor in 2030…
It’s no coincidence that his second-hand man Coban, who can barely string a sentence together, was recently made “2024-2025 Obama Foundation Europe Leader”:
I’m sure it’s because Kamala Harris (Obama’s candidate) is the “Green New Deal” gal. The Obama Foundation wants to inflate Coban’s abilities so that he can stay put, “mobilising” youth democracy, on the other side of the pond. It helps cement a global alliance for the “new deal” of green turd. *YES, I AM GOING TO BE CALLED A CRANK.*
The website spelt out Coban’s main talent, as far as the Obama Foundation is concerned: “amplifying youth voices and engaging young people”
In other words, getting young people to the ballot box.
It’s starting to make more sense as to why Coban’s charity - which most people have never heard of and whose “charitable” activities include giving young people free Lime Bike rides, chocolate and ice cream to vote - is such a favourite with establishment figures:

The Green Agenda has been around for a long time, and has an excellent pedigree :) :
