Why are taxpayers being charged (£700k+) for the Migration Museum?
Sorry, pensioners, your heating allowance clearly isn't as important as diversity
You know that Budget thing we just had? Where we were told there was a big fat £22 BILLION BLACK HOLE in the nation’s finances?
Well, thankfully it seems there’s enough to improve the finances of the Migration Museum!
That’s right; today the London Assembly has agreed a motion calling for “more support” - aka money - for this beacon of diversity.
Justine Simons OBE, London’s jet-setting £147k-per-year Deputy Mayor for Culture (who’s responsible for the Fourth Plinth), will offer the museum her “expertise regarding fundraising strategies” (which, to be fair, she’s a huge expert in).

We can also thank the Lib Dems for moving this vital motion forward:
I’m afraid it gets WORSE (yes), as the taxpayer has already given £700,220 to museum:
Austerity, ey!
With that funding, which I’m sure taxpayers will be delighted to know about, the museum has spoilt us with:
All Our Stories – Migration and the Making of Britain
Paddington “exploring his family history”
…and reminding everyone how awful English football would be without migration:
You know what (here comes a surprise): I’m not actually against the idea of a migration museum, per se; it’s a type of history, after all.
But I am against the HUGE amount of money being spent while we’re being taught that “austerity” is out of control, pensioners are about to get very cold and politicians are forcing us to spend BILLIONS on the world moving here. If you don’t believe me, just take a look at some of my other articles:
Either way, it’s a funny way to fill that big black hole!
